Introduction

Mooring capstans are used for hauling and tensioning mooring lines on vessels. They feature compact construction, high transmission efficiency via planetary gears, low noise, and robust corrosion protection. The capstan heads are made of ZG270-500 cast steel, 316L stainless steel, or aluminum alloy. Designed for space-constrained decks, they are easy to install and operate, with electric, hydraulic, or diesel-hydraulic power sources and optional remote control. Suitable for horizontal or vertical configurations, they allow safe and efficient mooring in marine and offshore environments.

Manufacturing and Anti-Corrosion Process

Our welding procedures are approved by major classification societies. The surface treatment reaches Sa2.5 blasting standard, followed by an anti-corrosion coating system consisting of zinc-rich epoxy primer, epoxy micaceous iron oxide intermediate coating, and high-build aliphatic polyurethane topcoat, with a total dry film thickness of no less than 250 μm. This coating system provides 5–10 years of corrosion protection.

For selected products, hot-dip galvanizing (HDG) is also available, improving corrosion resistance by up to 300% and offering more comprehensive protection for harsh marine environments.

 

Customization and Component Brands

The crane design can be customized according to customer requirements.Key components can be selected from internationally renowned brands or high-quality Chinese brands upon request. Available options include, among others, motors from ABB, Hoyel, SEW, and Siemens; hydraulic pumps from Danfoss, Parker, and Rexroth; hydraulic motors from Sai Danfoss and Staffa; and control valves from Danfoss, HAWE, and DYDEN Japan.

International brand standard components can be covered by global warranty services, while Chinese brand components are provided with a 24-month warranty. Spare parts can be delivered directly by DHL for fast maintenance support.
